E/M – Medical Coding

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign appropriate E/M codes.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain knowledge of current coding practices and updates.
• Assist in audits and quality assurance processes to enhance coding accuracy.
• Provide support and training to junior coding staff as needed.
• Generate reports related to coding activities and metrics.

Skill Sets:

• Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of E/M coding guidelines and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
